After being abstinent for 7 years after a horrible relationship I learned a lot about myself and took interest in a large variety of things. It’s funny how you can tell someone has never been alone in their life because they have no interests or hobbies. Solitude is a guiding light many fear to open their eyes in front of. When I sit back and think about every little thing I dabble in, it’s kind of funny, though maybe a bit nerdy.
Let’s see, I’ve been self employed for the past 4 years, doing better each year. I’ve been an entrepreneur since I left High School. My first business was a web design business. What’s funny is, I was working as a computer repair consultant for a company and I traveled all over setting up networks and repairing computers and I had never even owned one myself. I was a kid though and while on the road I bought a Playstation One with the company credit card to play for a weekend of which I returned before I left that city. The company still didn’t like that and I ended up getting fired. So I financed a Gateway 2,000, bought an HTML source book and hit Geocities and taught myself HTML programming in a weekend and opened for web design business on Monday. Over 3 years I developed a reputation and client list that I ended up selling to an IT consulting firm just getting into web development. It was my 21st birthday and after the CEO turning down some high 5 figure deals due to moral deficiency (not porn, think about HQ Hardware becoming like the Hooters of Home Repair called Beaver Lumber) and I ended up leaving the company.
I am a gamer! I’m proud to admit it! I have every console, an Apple and PC Laptop and a custom gaming rig. I rarely get a chance to play anything until late at night when everyone is asleep but I still enjoy it.
I draw, I read and I am always trying to learn new things. I watch documentaries about anything and everything and am always looking into new business ideas. I’m opening a huge MMA & Fitness gym, I’m about to become a distributor for some Sexual Enhancement pills that work like crazy! I’m also teaching myself Objective-C programming while learning the Apple SDK and Interface Builder to create my own iPhone apps.
I watch a movie almost every night and own hundreds of DVD’s.
I do all my own web work. I do all my own graphic design work for the MMA Big Show. The website, posters, flyers, etc.
I dabble on Facebook and chit chat with strangers just to learn more about people and re-connect with friends from the past (Hey Dallas Gates! You were always a cool dude!)
I guess overall, I am who I am. I have a never say die attitude and am always pushing forward. 2010 stands to be an amazing year for the Big Show as I’m putting a live broadcast deal together now for the Feb 20th event I’m hoping I can pull off within the coming weeks.
Here is to hoping for an amazing 2010 year full of lots of small efforts that will come together in one big climax.
